All-Natural, Grain Finished

Why is Angus beef so good?

Angus beef remains one of the best and most affordable of the higher grade breeds.  The quality comes from the 'marbling' or fat found inside the meat itself.  The angus breed is vary effective at storing it's fat throughout the meat giving it a juicy and flavorful taste.

Why purchase from a local producer, like us?

The long and the short of it is, smaller numbers of animals, given better care.  We take pride in the beef we raise and how it is cared for.  We select better animals, feed them better nutrients, and take extra care in how we treat them.   The best tasting beef is obtained by what they are fed and how they are taken care of everyday.  It is not mass produced using the most affordable feeds (corn stalks, etc.) or by implementing techniques such as growth hormones.  Our animals are free from antibiotics, pesticides, and hormones.  We want the beef you eat to be as natural as nature can make it.

How beef is raised and the meat processed can be very questionable.  You the end consumer have no control over how that meat was handled or stored after it has been processed and shipped.  Where you notice the biggest difference is at the dinner table.  Ranch raised beef is tastier than beef raised commercially.  Check out this article written by the Red Meat Lover and see what he found, when comparing all natural beef to store bought.  The quality you receive is worth every penny of the few dollars more it costs to purchase ranch finished, steakhouse quality beef.

What are the Best cuts of Meat?

Every cut of meat has it's place on the family dinner table, but we all know there's nothing better than a hot, juicy steak fresh off the grill.  Here's and interesting article from Taste of Home describing the best cuts of meat and when and how to use them.
